About R. Michael Vang

Mr. Vang joined the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD) in 1997, and he has been a sustaining member since 2000. Mr. Vang has received the "NCDD Trial Advocacy Award" and the "NCDD Appellate Advocacy Award." Mr. Vang was the first Wyoming State Delegate for the NCDD. Mr. Vang has forty (40) reported cases with the Wyoming Supreme Court, with two more pending concerning suppression of the warrantless production of biological samples for chemical testing under the legal fiction of implied consent under the Wyoming Constitution. Mr. Vang has provided lectures concerning DUI and implied consent laws for the NCDD, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association (WTLA), the Wyoming State Bar Association (WSBA), the DUI Defense Lawyers Association (DUIDLA), the Wyoming Governors Conference on Impaired Driving; the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ); the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia (ICLEG); and the Missouri Bar Association. Mr. Vang is the only Wyoming attorney awarded the Forensic Lawyer-Scientist Designation by the American Chemical Society (ACS) Chemistry and the Law Division. Mr. Vang has been admitted to practice law in all federal and state courts in the State of Wyoming, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
